Lync for iOS and certificates

Ok so Lync for iOS are out, and I think that some people will have problems logging in at first (at least I had) and its because those ipads are on the corporate WIFI don’t have the CA certificate installed. So just a quick pointer on where to start troubleshooting before your crowd goes crazy and spamming your IT department with angry emails Winking smile

Ok I’m back to my Office 365 lab and will post my take on all this mobile stuff after the Christmas break Winking smile

We have a globalsign certificate, and it doesn’t work either… The iOS Lync client fails to login with “can’t verify the certificate from the server”…

You can use this utility to import cert
      http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1466
or send your root cert to your email and open your email in iphone, then install the cert

Just send you the root ca cert by mail and open the cert & install it. The message disappear

Have yet to be able to get to work on iPad. Have directly specified server names for discovery and have exported Root CA Cert from internal domain without any luck. Finally failed with “can’t verify the certificate from the server.” Anyone determined a fix for this yet?

I am having a bit of an issue obtaining the CA Cert for iPad 2. I tried Verisign Universal Root Cert Authority and it does not work.

      Hi
If its a verisign cert it should just work out of the box.
