The CX7000 is the newest addition to the Polycom CX product family. And personally – I LOVE IT.
It is a group collaboration system optimized for Microsoft Lync. It was previously referred to as “Rally” but has now been announced as Polycom CX7000.

Its been purpose built for Lync environments, the CX7000 delivers an intuitive user interface that enhances efficiency by natively combining all the powerful features of Lync collaboration with Polycom’s high definition video, voice, into one seamless experience.

Optimized for Lync.

The CX7000 compared to the CX5000 (aka RoundTable) will eliminate the “ear effect” that we’ve gotten so used with when using roundtables for a couple of years now (screen is at the far end of the wall and the RT is at the middle of the table). Well the CX7000 looks really sweet as you can see in the pictures below.

The CX7000 was designed for single or dual monitor support depending on the customer’s
preference. I think that the dual monitor is the best way to experience the full video and content
collaboration capabilities of the product, but a single monitor option is fully supported where space may be more limited.
