I got a question if it would be possible to have someone join in to a LiveMeeting conference by just calling them? And i thought that it should be possible since there is a option for it under the Meeting tab.
But when looking in to it i found that the option to call someone is grayed out, and i looked everywhere i could think of to enable it since i thought it was only a checkbox somewhere that i missed to tick.
But apparently it seems that you can not use this function if the Live Meeting is hosted on a on premises OCS 2007 R2 server, even if it has the possibilities to use it via a mediation server and enterprise voice.
I didn’t found much information regarding the topic but here and here and here are some forum posts i found telling that you can only use it when you buy LiveMeeting as a hosted service.
But when scheduling a Conference call from outlook and you select call from communicator you have the option to call someone and add that person to the conference. So I’m having a hard time to believe LiveMeeting really is this stupid?
Please comment if you know more about this.
