I was checking out the new Updates Resource Center for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Clients and saw that the ad showing on that page is for Citrix Go To Assist

I found that a bit funny, especially when OCS now have the Desktop Sharing feature, its not entirely fair to put them up for a fight since in my eyes they don’t really do the same thing. But if you used to collaborate or have support sessions in Citrix Go To Assist before and now have OCS installed, i encourage you to try the Desktop Sharing feature instead. Its a great feature to use when giving support or when working together on a document or for whatever you use to do in the office when you have to look at someone’s screen. I even think you can be more creative with it then if you sit together in a conference room. Since in the DS case you are not bound to sit in a room and look at someone’s screen, you can now sit anywhere and still get the job done.
