iPhone VS OCS 2007 r2 round one

So iwe switched from winmo to an iPhone and i really like it allot as a device for my private life, all the apps rocks and its fast and responsive, (so was my x1 with no apps running) anyways i miss COMO allot.

So after an hour or so on Google i found out that i had 2 possibilities, and out of those 2 non will probably work for me since the iphone sux at push notifications. Webmessenger apparently requires a server in-between its client and the OCS and don’t even goes trough the edge server if i get it right so this makes the only thing i could try to just browse to the Communicator Web Access in safari.

First you have to disable the pop up blocker.

Then just open safari and enter the url to your CWA.

Well this looked good, usually you type in your sip address in the first window but here you should typ in domain\user & password. Then just log in….

Trying to open a new window from here did not work for me so i can not start a chat with anyone.

However dropdowns work so i can change my Call forwarding settings, set a note and change presence.

Expanding distribution groups does also work fine.

Search for a contact works…

but the add button is missing so it kinds of stops after searching.

Conclusion its useless as of now. But i hope someone comes up with something that works cause I’m really missing it and i cant have 2 phones in my pocket…
