There are some things to be aware of when you invite a gmail user into a Lync meeting.
Gmail “correctly” receives the meeting invite and will ask you to add it to your calendar.
And when accepting, it will add the meeting to the calendar. Well all good…. so far
The thing is that gmail will actually mess up the format of the original invitation and by magic remove just some? of the links from the original invite.
The Join Online Meeting is still there untouched and that’s the most important one so that’s something positive, but if you are planning to have attendees calling in from other countries on their local number you are screwed.
Btw, the “ Forgot your dial-in PIN? | First online meeting? “ links are also washed out?
Click the text in the invite to show the content and then copy paste the url manually.
Find the original meeting invite in your mail and then click – Show quoted text – and you will find the links in there.
