1、BrickIt使用起來非常簡單，在下載和完成安裝後，只要將LEGO積木平鋪當地板或桌面，盡量讓積木可以清楚見到和避免互相重疊，然後用BrickIt拍攝即可。程序建議用戶將大塊的積木先拿開，減少遮住細塊的積木，而數量要在150塊或以下。
2、BrickIt利用機器學習去掃描和辨認不同形狀的LEGO積木和數量，然後就會提供不同的砌積木建議，再附上其步驟說明。用戶甚至可以選擇以那些顏色或積木形狀去製作他們的作品。完成後，用戶可以用BrickIt拍照，然後跟朋友分享。現階段BrickIt只有iOS版本，但開發者表示會在今年秋季推出Android版。
